1.1 Use the Search button
Use the free text search, this will look in code, product name and description. Examples would include: Enter the full code, eg XOP201010, a partial code eg XOP201, or some text eg Raybox. Once the search term has been entered, then click on the magnifying glass or press enter.
1.2 Use the Menu
Alternatively if you want to look for all products in a particular category then use the Tier Structure on the left hand side of the screen. For example, click on Physics then Light, then Ray Boxes and this will bring up a list of all Ray boxes.
1.3 Find Out More about A Product
Click on the View Details button to find out product information, view the Technical Specification, additional images, and any Accessories for the product.
- a. Click on the Login / Register box at the top right hand side of the screen.
b. Registered users: Enter your username and password in the boxes and click Login
c. New Users: You will need to Register with us first, click on the link and fill in the registration form. Once this is complete we will then send you a username and a password (which you will be able to change the first time you log in). Once you have received your password you can login as a Registered User. We recommend that you change your password immediately - to do this, click on the Change Password link.
3.1 Out of Stock
Wherever you see this logo, the item is currently out of stock. Items will be ordered to requirements, and our estimated lead time will be 14 days from receipt of your order.
3.2 Direct Delivered Items
Wherever you see this logo, the item(s) are delivered directly from our supplier. Carriage is not included in the selling price for these items. A Customer Services Advisor will contact you to advise the delivery charge and this will be added to your order.
4 Baskets and Ordering
If you haven't already logged in, you must do this before you can place items into your basket. To add items to your basket you can either:
- a. From the product grid, select desired quantity and click Add to Basket
b. From the product detail screen, select desired quantity and click Add to Basket
c. Or, if you know the code of the product that you would like to add to your basket, use the quick add option enter the code in the box above the main product menu, change to your desired quantity and click the basket icon.
d. Upload a CSV file containing a list of items that you wish to order
4.1.1 Upload Items Directly to Your Order
If you have a long list of items to order and you know our product codes, it may be quicker and easier for you to upload these directly to the website, via a CSV file:
a. Firstly you need to create a CSV file in the following layout BUT WITHOUT Column Headings: Product Code, Quantity. For help on this, click on the link on the Upload Orders page which will take you to our How to Upload an Order instruction pdf.
b. Click on Browse to find your CSV file in your Documents.
c. Click on the Upload button.
d. Once uploaded you will be taken to the View Basket page where you can review the list and add them to your basket.
You can then View Your Basket and confirm your order in the normal manner.
4.2 View Your Basket
To review the items that you have placed into your basket then click on the View Basket button that sits underneath the blue horizontal menu bar.
Please note that any order containing a product marked Surcharge in our chemical section will have a Hazardous Chemical Delivery Surcharge applied.
From here you can:
- a. Update the quantity
b. Remove the item
c. Apply a promotional code
d. Empty the Basket
e. Continue shopping
f. Proceed to the Checkout
g. Save Basket for later
4.3 Save Basket for Later
Click on the Save Basket button and give your Basket a reference number. You will now be able to review and come back to this later by clicking on the Saved Baskets button in the grey menu bar at the very top of the page.
Please note that we are unable to hold items in the basket if you leave the site so to avoid disappointment, we recommend that you always save your basket if you are unable to complete your transaction in a single visit.
- Hint: Use this to save baskets of items that you purchase on a regular basis, to save you having to enter the details manually each time.
4.3.1 Saved Baskets
Go to Saved Baskets and you can now see a list of the baskets that you have saved for later. Click on the one that you are interested in and you now have the option to add these items to your basket.
You can add items from more than one Saved Basket to your current Basket; when prompted simply click on Merge Baskets.
- a. When you have selected all of the items that you are looking for, proceed to the Checkout either by selecting the Checkout button that sits underneath the blue horizontal menu bar or by clicking on the Checkout button in the Basket screen.
b. Please check that your delivery and invoice address, including post codes, are correct; if they are not please call us immediately.
c. Please check that the email address is valid.
d. Please enter a valid order number as you will not be able to proceed without one.
e. Please enter the required delivery date and any other order notes.
f. If required (and if available for your delivery location) select Next Day Delivery - please note that an additional charge will be made for this service.
g. Click to agree to our Terms and Conditions.
h. If you have items in your basket that will be delivered direct from our supplier, there will be an additional delivery charge applied, we will contact you after you have placed your order to advise this cost; please tick the box to agree to this additional charge.
i. To save this as a Quote, which will be emailed to you, and which you can convert to an order at a later date if you wish to proceed, click on Place Quote.
j. To proceed with your order, click on Order and Pay on Account or Order and Pay by Credit Card. If you do not see the Pay by Credit Card button and you would like to have this option enabled, please contact our Customer Services department who will be able to arrange this for you.

5.1 Converting A Quote into an Order
Click on Order Tracking in the grey menu bar at the very top of the page.
Search the Results for the quote that you are looking for. You can refine your search by date, your order number, our order number or order status. Select the quotation from the list, click on the Copy Products to Basket button and then amend your order or proceed to Checkout in the normal manner.
Select the Order Tracking option from the grey menu bar at the very top of the page.
Here you can search for all your current and historical orders (whether placed via the website or not). You can refine your search by searching for your order number, our order number, date or order status (In Progress orders, Quotes, Despatched, Cancelled or Invoiced). You can even copy products into the basket that you have previously ordered and been invoiced for, to save you having to type out the information again.
- a. To view a list of all live invoices and your full outstanding balance, click on the Payments option from the grey menu bar at the very top of the page.
b. To make a payment please tick the invoices that you wish to settle, amend the amount to pay if you are not paying in full and then press the proceed to payment button.
c. Enter your credit card details and click on Make Secure Payment.
NB: We accept most major credit and debit cards. We regret that we do not accept American Express.
To view a summary of your account in PDF format click on the Reports option from the grey menu bar at the very top of the page, select Account Summary and click on the View Report button.
To view a summary of all your outstanding orders in PDF format, select Back Order report and click on the View Report button.
To find the rep for your area, click on Contact from the main menu.
Here you will find a list of all of our Territory Managers and their phone numbers. Click on the individual that looks after your area to send them an email.
To send an email to the office, click on the Send Us an Email button and your enquiry will be directed to the best person to respond to your query.
To request us to call you back, click on the Request Call Back button.
